Mark Fleming

SVP Chief Economist

Mark Fleming serves as the chief economist for First American Financial Corporation, a premier provider of title, settlement and risk solutions for real estate transactions and the leader in the digital transformation of its industry. In his role, he leads an economics team responsible for analysis, commentary and forecasting trends in the real estate and mortgage markets.

Fleming's research expertise primarily includes real estate and urban economics, applied econometrics, and mortgage risk. As a trusted and influential voice with 20 years of experience in the mortgage and property information business, Fleming is frequently quoted by national news outlets and industry trade publications, such as The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and HousingWire, and he is a regular guest on high-profile broadcast news, including CBS, CNBC, Fox Business and NPR.

He frequently publishes research and analysis on First American's Economic Center and co-hosts The REconomy Podcast^™(opens in a new tab/window) with Deputy Chief Economist Odeta Kushi. He has published research in the American Journal of Agricultural Economics and Geographic Information Sciences. His research has also been published in the book, "Advances in Spatial Econometrics."

Don Kennedy

Division Managing Director

Don Kennedy is a managing director in First American Title Insurance Co.'s Agency Division, covering the midwest and southwest along with the national agency group. Don also serves as the current president of the American Land Title Association.

Previously Don served as an Area Manager for First American’s direct title operations in Southern California and Arizona. Prior to that he acted as Division Counsel for the company's Database Solutions & Home Warranty divisions. Before joining First American in 2011, Don served as an attorney in the litigation department of SNR Denton, a global law firm. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Stanford University, Don went on to receive his juris doctorate from McGeorge School of Law at University of the Pacific. A California resident, He is a member of the California Land Title Association Board of Governors.

Don resides in Southern California with his wife and two children.

Leonard (Len) Prescott

Director of Agency Underwriting

Len Prescott is the Senior Division Counsel and Director of Underwriting for First American Title Insurance Company’s Agency Division. In addition to his many leadership and management responsibilities, Len remains an active transactional underwriter and has underwritten some of the most complex and largest transactions in the Title Insurance Industry.

Outside of First American, Len has been dedicated to the title industry and regularly featured as a national speaker for the American Land Title Association (ALTA) and other state and regional title associations. He has frequently represented the interests of First American and its agents before the Office of Insurance Regulation, the Florida Department of Financial Services, and the Florida Legislature. Len is an active member of the Florida and Maryland Bar Associations, a current member of the Board of Directors and a Past President of the Florida Land Title Association (FLTA) and is an active Member and Sponsor of the Executive Council of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Law Section (RPPTL) of the Florida Bar, currently serving as a Vice-Chair of RPPTL’s Title Insurance Committee. Len is a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) and the American College of Mortgage Attorneys (ACMA).

Len graduated, summa cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire, is a member of the Academic Honor Society Phi Beta Kappa and received his Doctor of Law from the Georgetown University Law Center.
